I was born in Dayton, Ohio, and grew up young in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. I grew up in the Lutheran Missouri Synod tradition and after coming out in the late 1900's I spent many years outside any organized religion and shortly after my 18th birthday I returned to Ohio and began working in multi-family housing. I have worked in both the maintenance and the administration sides of the business. I have managed and operated apartments, townhomes, single family homes, and high-rises. I have worked in conventional and affordable housing. I currently work as a Director for Housing at a non-profit senior facility of 225 residents. Work has taken me to many states over the years including Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, and Washington. I spent many years focused on my career, and finally got around to finishing a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies at a small Calvin Bible College in Michigan.

I am a single Cat dad and live in Seattle with my companion feline Silas.

On Christmas Eve 2022, I reached out with interest and the CMJ welcomed me with open arms, embracing me for who I was. For me, being a monastic in The Community of the Mother of Jesus meant finding a true spiritual family that supports and guides me on my journey towards deeper connection with God. It means living a life of prayer, simplicity, and community, and being surrounded by like-minded individuals who share a common commitment to serving others and living out the teachings of Jesus. I have found a sense of belonging and purpose in this community, and I can't imagine walking this path without them.

Do whatever He tells you.
